Look, let's be honest - life gets in the way. To paraphrase a fantastic fictional doctor from a movie that shaped a generation. I had great intentions of doing these posts on a much more regular basis and before you know it I am falling at the hurdle and an entire month goes by without a post.
Or rather two whole months! Let's be honest on that front.
The reality is work got busy, life got busy, and something had to give. That something was, of course, this blog. Which in the grand scheme of things was probably always going to be the case.
Honestly March alone (and at the time of writing this post it is only the 19th) has been so jammed that I am just about getting my head above water. Between family events, work events, work trips abroad, work itself, family life, I genuinely am trying to figure out when I had time to sleep.
But fear not, this post is a two-for-one. I've got a little blurb here and you get a short story over in the short story section. Have at!

Really interesting piece, it feels quite raw and honest in the way it talks about letting things slide, especially when it comes to everyday situations where people react more than they probably should. The message comes across clearly that not everything deserves a reaction, and sometimes choosing to step back actually takes more control than responding emotionally. That idea shows up a lot in real life too, where small misunderstandings or ego-driven moments can quickly turn into bigger conflicts if no one decides to just let it go .
